Prices and costs
Do garage door prices include VAT?
Every price on this site is inclusive of VAT and installation, quoted against the fixed 2290mm x 2250mm reference opening. Under the UK Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, any advertised "invitation to purchase" must show the total price including mandatory charges — a bare "from £X" figure without VAT is not compliant.
Why this matters when comparing quotes
Some UK suppliers still advertise ex-VAT prices or a low "from" figure that is not genuinely available for most openings. Always ask a supplier to confirm whether a quoted figure includes VAT and installation, and check it is quoted against a specific opening size, not just a generic "from" claim.
Questions people ask
- Why do some garage door adverts show a lower price than this site?
- Some adverts show an ex-VAT trade price or a "from" figure for a non-standard small opening; all prices on this site are inc. VAT and installation against a fixed reference opening, so they are directly comparable to a genuine quote.
- What law requires the total price to be shown?
- The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, in force from 6 April 2025, requires any UK invitation to purchase to display the total price including all mandatory charges such as VAT and standard installation.
- Does the quoted price include delivery?
- The installed prices on this site assume standard mainland UK delivery and fitting as part of the job; remote locations or restricted access may attract an additional charge that should be confirmed before booking.
