How electric operation works
An electric garage door uses a motor — a tubular motor for roller doors, a trolley or wall-mounted operator for sectional, and a wall or ceiling-mounted operator for retractable-gear up-and-over doors — connected to a control unit, remote handset and a safety photocell pair. The operator drives the door through its normal travel and stops at pre-set limits at each end.
Which door types automate well
